The Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Sarafadeen Omirinde, has congratulated Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on winning the second-term election at the just concluded gubernatorial election.
He described the victory as the will of God, the masses and the unmatched record of Makinde’s people-centered government.
“I congratulate the people’s governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on winning the second term bid in the just concluded election. This shows that the people of Oyo State reciprocate goodness with kindness, and the result of the election displayed across the 33 local governments of the state, especially in Saki West.”
He added that despite the campaign of calumny by the opposition to sway voters away from re-electing Seyi Makinde in Oyo State, the voters stood still to repay their benefactor.
In addition, Omirinde appreciates the efforts of traditional rulers across Oke-Ogun for standing by the truth and supporting the Governor in this election with all the resources at their disposal. He specially credited the intervention of Okere of Sakiland, Oba (Dr) Khalid Olabisi Ilugbemidepo, for being an exceptional leader who stood by fairness and justice for Governor Makinde to be re-elected.
“Our traditional fathers across Oke-Ogun are exceptional to the victory of our amiable Governor at the poll, especially the Okere of Sakiland who stood against the blackmail and intimidation by the opposition to sway away voters to re-elect Makinde.”
Furthermore, he appreciates the spirit of togetherness displayed by the members of the People’s Democratic Party, party leaders, and other parties who joined the alliance to re-elect Governor Makinde.
He urged people to continue supporting the Governor in transforming Oyo State under Omituntun 2.0 by providing a dividend of democracy to the people.
