It was a black Monday for politicians and Saki community at large when the death of elder stateman and one of the strong pillars of people’s Democratic Party in Oyo State, Alhm Sikiru Ikuogbogun was announced.
The Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government Engr Sarafadeen Ahmed Ominrinde have extolled the virtues of Alhaji Sikiru Ikuogbogun.
Ominrinde in a statement signed by the Head of Information Unit of the LG, Alhaji Aderogba Dauda described the death of Alhaji Ikuogbogun as a great loss to Saki West LG and Oyo State as a whole.
Ominrinde who received the death of the late politician with a rude shock, said Ikuogbogun who was a former Councillor, lived a fulfilled life that worth emulation, he said the vacuum created by him will be very difficult to fill.
The LG boss described the former Saki West LG PDP Chairman as a political icon, who has contributed immensely to his community politically, economically and socially.
In addition, Ominrinde said the late politician was a staunch member and one of the leaders of PDP in Oyo State whose impact will be felt in the political arena of Oyo State and Saki Local Government in particular.
However, Ominrinde commiserated with the entire family, friends, political associates and PDP family, he prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him aljana fridaos.
