The Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Sarafadeen Ahmed Omirinde, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the start of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan and enjoined Muslim to embrace peace, unity, love and tranquility as the month begins.
This call was made during the press briefing at Saki West LG Secretariat. He admonished them to adhere to the teachings of Islam during the month of Ramadan by extending love to non-Muslims in order to show the beauty of Islam.
” I congratulate all Muslims all over the world for a seamless beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, which shows Allah loves us and He is the only one worthy of of worship.”
He urged Muslim to strive to emulate Prophet Muhammed (SAW) examples of humility, forgiveness and service to others.
He added that the Muslim community should preach peace, display it, and extend love to themselves and beyond the Islam community, as this will display the beauty of Islam to the world.
“It is very important to accommodate ourselves and refrain from words and actions that can divide us. This is the only way to show the world that the religion preaches love, peace, and tranquility and as true adherents, we should display this by loving each other and extend such love to non-Muslims.”
The Chairman prayed for the country to witness an economic boom, improved security, and prosperous development as we are heading into the transition process after the successful conduct of elections in the country. He therefore urged all and sundry to continue with there support to His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, who has just been elected for second term.
