The political landscape in Saki West witnessed a significant development today as Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo officially picked the Allied People’s Movement (APM) nomination form to contest for the Saki West Constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development marks a major step in Hon. Salaudeen’s political journey and signals the beginning of what supporters have described as a movement anchored on grassroots development, inclusive governance, and purposeful representation.
Speaking shortly after obtaining the nomination form, Hon. Salaudeen reaffirmed his commitment to offering development-driven representation and progressive governance that would directly address the needs and aspirations of the people of Saki West.
According to him, the decision to formally join the race is driven by a deep passion to serve and build upon years of grassroots engagement and community-focused interventions.
“My aspiration is not about politics alone; it is about service, development, and creating opportunities for our people. Saki West deserves quality representation that understands the realities of the people and is committed to practical solutions,” he stated.
Hon. Salaudeen promised that if elected, his legislative agenda would focus on agricultural transformation, youth empowerment, quality education, infrastructure development, improved healthcare, and economic growth.
He noted that Saki West, with its enormous agricultural potential and vibrant youth population, requires leadership that can attract opportunities, sponsor impactful legislation, and facilitate projects capable of improving lives.
The aspirant also emphasized his intention to champion policies that would strengthen local economic development and position Saki West for greater prosperity.
Political observers have linked his confidence to his track record as Majority Leader of the Saki West Legislative Council, where he has been associated with grassroots mobilisation, legislative engagement, and community development efforts.
Beyond politics, Hon. Salaudeen has earned recognition through his humanitarian and empowerment activities under the Hope Never Dies (HND) initiative. Through partnerships with organisations such as IITA, he has facilitated agricultural training and empowerment programmes for hundreds of youths and farmers across Saki and surrounding communities.
