Rivers State Governor, Mr Nyesom Ezenwo Wike today inaugurated a newly built 16-room Corpers’ Lodge for Corps Members posted to Community Secondary School, Obeaku, Ndoki Community of Oyigbo Local Government Area of the State.
He also inaugurated a newly built, ultra-modern Community Secondary School, Obeaku, comprising Junior and Senior Secondary School Blocks, Administrative Block, Security Quarters, well equipped Science Laboratory, Computer Center and a Library.

Wike stated that the Lodge is in appreciation of the laudable roles Corps Members have been playing as critical stakeholders in the educational development of the State and also as strategic drivers of his administration’s vision and mission.
“Corps Members have helped to raise the bar in the quality of teaching and learning across the State and we are grateful for this”, the Governor said.
He said the young generation who are the future of tomorrow needs quality education and conducive environment to develop their potentials in order to contribute meaningfully towards nation building.
Speaking further, the Governor noted that one of the greatest ways of empowering the society is through quality investment in education.
Wike assured the people of Ndoki Community and Oyigbo Local Government Area that his administration will continue to cite more projects in the community.
NYSC Rivers State Coordinator, Mr Chinwendu Chukwu expressed gratitude to God for making the project a reality.
He thanked Governor Nyesom Wike for the giant strides he has recorded in the NYSC, by rewriting the narratives of the Scheme’s operations since his assumption of duty, especially in the total transformation of structures at the Orientation Camp in Nonwa-Gbam.
Mr Chukwu appealed to the Corps Members who will make use of the Lodge to ensure that the facilities provided are adequately maintained.
The inauguration also had in attendance, the former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ibrahim Mantu.
