A frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency, Aishat Aliyu Adeleke, has intensified consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections with visits to key political figures and party leaders.
In a major political move, the aspirant paid a courtesy visit to Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, wife of the late former Governor of Oyo State and former Nigerian Ambassador, whose political network and influence remain strong within the progressive family.
She also met with former Minister of Communications, Chief Adebayo Shittu, where discussions reportedly focused on leadership, party unity and the need for quality representation in the constituency.
As part of the consultations, Aishat Aliyu Adeleke further engaged leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saki East and Atisbo Local Government Areas, seeking their support, prayers and guidance as political activities gather momentum.
Speaking during the visits, the aspirant said the consultations were necessary to tap into the wisdom and experience of elder statesmen and party stakeholders.
“I am consulting our leaders because experience matters in politics. Their counsel, prayers and support are vital as we seek to build a better future for our constituency,” she stated.
She reaffirmed her commitment to effective representation, youth empowerment, women inclusion and constituency development if given the opportunity to serve.
Political observers described the meetings as a strong signal of her readiness for the race, noting that securing the goodwill of influential figures such as Florence Ajimobi, Adebayo Shittu and local APC leaders could shape the dynamics of the coming contest.
With consultations now underway, attention is gradually turning to the 2027 House of Representatives race in Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency.
