A councillor representing Ward 11 in Saki West Local Government, Hon. Saheed Titilope, has expressed deep appreciation to his colleagues within the legislative arm for their sustained support and cooperation, using the occasion of his birthday to advocate stronger mutual backing among political actors and offer prayers for the continued success of Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo State.
In a goodwill message circulated among party members and community stakeholders, Titilope described the solidarity among councillors as a critical factor in fostering effective grassroots governance.
He noted that the unity demonstrated within the legislative council has not only enhanced administrative efficiency but also strengthened the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Saki West.
The councillor, while reflecting on his political journey, extended special recognition to prominent figures within the legislative arm, including Hon. Salaudeen Soliu Abiodun, Leader of the Saki West Legislative Arm, whose leadership he praised for promoting inclusiveness and stability.
He also commended Hon. Nike Jinad, Deputy Leader, for her consistency and diligence in legislative duties, alongside Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo, Majority Leader and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly candidate for the 2027 general elections, whom he described as a forward-looking leader with strong grassroots appeal.
Titilope emphasized that the cooperation among councillors has translated into meaningful progress across communities, stressing that sustained collaboration remains essential in addressing socio-economic challenges at the local level. He urged his colleagues to deepen their commitment to teamwork, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in order to consolidate on existing achievements.
Beyond his appreciation, the councillor used the occasion to call for increased mutual support from PDP stakeholders in Saki and its environs for Engr Seyi Makinde. He maintained that unity, loyalty, and collective sacrifice would be crucial in positioning the party for future electoral success, particularly as political activities gradually build toward the 2027 general elections.
In the same vein, Titilope offered prayers for Governor Makinde, acknowledging his leadership style and contributions to governance in Oyo State. He prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and good health for the governor, noting that his administration’s policies have provided direction and inspiration for leaders at the grassroots level.
According to him, aligning with the vision of the state government while maintaining internal harmony within the party structure would significantly enhance development outcomes across Oke-Ogun and the wider Oyo State.
He warned against divisive tendencies, urging party leaders, youths, and supporters to close ranks and prioritize the collective interest of the PDP.
