Member of the House of Representatives who represents Atisbo, Saki East and Saki West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun, has called on Nigerians to sustain the current political leadership by re-electing Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arguing that continuity is critical to consolidating ongoing reforms and achieving long-term national development.
Kareem Abisodun emphasized that Nigeria’s current trajectory requires stability, policy consistency, and sustained leadership to yield tangible benefits across sectors.
According to the lawmaker, President Tinubu’s administration has undertaken what he described as “bold and necessary reforms” aimed at repositioning the Nigerian economy and strengthening governance structures. He noted that key policy decisions—including the removal of fuel subsidies and foreign exchange reforms—were difficult but essential steps toward correcting long-standing structural imbalances in the economy.
He argued that while such reforms initially imposed economic strain on citizens, emerging indicators suggest gradual improvements in macroeconomic stability, infrastructure development, and revenue generation. Recent economic analyses indicate that Nigeria recorded notable growth momentum in 2024, alongside improvements in fiscal performance and national revenue following reform measures.
Abisodun further highlighted ongoing infrastructure investments under the Tinubu administration, citing major road and connectivity projects designed to stimulate trade, enhance mobility, and foster regional integration. These projects, he said, reflect a broader commitment to national transformation and economic revitalization.
The federal lawmaker stressed that policy continuity remains a decisive factor in ensuring that the gains of current reforms are not reversed. “For a better Nigeria, we must stay the course. The foundation has been laid, and what is needed now is consolidation, not disruption,” he stated.
He also pointed to recent government interventions in critical sectors, including aviation and infrastructure financing, as evidence of a responsive administration seeking to stabilize key industries and protect economic growth.
However, analysts have noted that the administration’s reform agenda has come with significant challenges, including inflationary pressures and rising living costs, underscoring the importance of balancing economic restructuring with social protection measures.
Abisodun nonetheless maintained that the long-term benefits of the reforms outweigh the short-term hardships, urging constituents in Oke-Ogun and Nigerians at large to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid in order to sustain the “Renewed Hope” agenda.
The call aligns with a growing chorus of political stakeholders within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) advocating continuity ahead of the 2027 general elections, as internal mobilization efforts intensify across various regions.
