As Muslims across Nigeria and the world commemorate the commencement of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448AH, the Action People’s Movement (APM) candidate for Saki West State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo, has extended warm felicitations to the people of Saki West, urging them to embrace the spiritual lessons of the season and remain committed to peace, unity and community development.

In a goodwill message released to mark the beginning of the new Islamic calendar year, Adebayo described Hijrah as a significant period of reflection, renewal and rededication to the values of faith, perseverance and righteousness exemplified by the migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah. He noted that the occasion offers an opportunity for individuals, families and communities to seek divine guidance while renewing their commitment to peaceful coexistence and collective progress.

The APM chieftain prayed fervently for Allah’s mercy and blessings upon the people of Saki West and Nigerians at large, expressing hope that the new year would usher in greater opportunities, stability and prosperity for all. According to him, the commencement of Hijrah 1448AH should inspire citizens to strengthen their faith, foster mutual understanding and work together towards building a more united and prosperous society.

“As we mark the beginning of a new Islamic year, I pray that Allah makes this Hijrah a turning point for us all. May He forgive our past shortcomings, bless our present and grant us success in the year ahead,” Adebayo stated.

He further offered prayers for sustained peace and harmony in Saki West, stressing that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of security and communal unity. The politician expressed optimism that the local government area would continue to witness growth in infrastructure, economic activities and social development through the collective efforts of its people and leaders.

Adebayo also extended his prayers to Oyo State and Nigeria, calling for divine intervention in addressing the nation’s socio-economic and security challenges. He emphasized the need for citizens to remain hopeful and supportive of initiatives aimed at promoting national cohesion, sustainable development and good governance.

“May Saki West continue to experience peace, unity and prosperity. May this new year bring Saki West, Oyo State and Nigeria at large more security, development and unity. Aameen,” he added.

The Assembly hopeful encouraged Muslims to use the Hijrah celebration as a period for self-examination, increased devotion to Allah and renewed commitment to values that promote social harmony and national development. He noted that the enduring lessons of sacrifice, patience, resilience and unwavering faith associated with the Hijrah remain relevant in addressing contemporary challenges facing communities and the nation.

Adebayo concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful and their families a blessed, peaceful and fruitful Hijrah 1448AH, expressing confidence that the new Islamic year would bring renewed hope, abundant blessings and greater achievements for the people of Saki West and Nigeria as a whole.
