Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo has officially emerged as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to represent Saki West Constituency in the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election.
His emergence followed a successful screening and endorsement process, which culminated in the backing of top leaders of the party across Oyo State, including the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Deputy Governor, and other influential stakeholders within the party structure.
The endorsement is being seen by political observers as a major boost to the candidacy of Hon. Salaudeen, who has built a reputation as a grassroots politician, youth advocate, and community development champion.
Hon. Salaudeen currently serves as the Majority Leader of the Saki West Legislative Council, where he has distinguished himself through people-oriented leadership, legislative discipline, and developmental advocacy.
Over the years, he has remained active in empowering youths and supporting community initiatives through his non-governmental platform, Hope Never Dies (HND). Through the initiative, he has facilitated agricultural empowerment programmes, trained over 120 youths in modern farming techniques, and promoted self-reliance among young people in Saki and surrounding communities.
Party insiders disclosed that Hon. Salaudeen’s selection was based on his competence, loyalty to the party, leadership capacity, and growing popularity among the people of Saki West.
A senior PDP stakeholder described him as “a tested and trusted young leader with the energy, experience, and political maturity required to effectively represent the constituency.”
Reacting to his emergence, Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde, the Deputy Governor, party elders, and delegates for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to justify the trust by running an inclusive campaign and pursuing policies that would uplift Saki West through better representation, agricultural development, youth empowerment, education, and infrastructure.
“This endorsement is not just for me, but for every young person who believes in service, hard work, and the possibility of positive change. I am ready to serve and deliver purposeful representation for our people,” he said.
Residents and supporters across Saki West have continued to celebrate his emergence, describing it as a victory for youth inclusion, competence, and progressive politics.
With the backing of Governor Makinde and the party leadership, Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo now heads into the 2027 race as one of the strongest contenders for the Saki West seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
