The Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Engr. Sarafadeen Ahmed Omirinde has changed the lives of nothing less than hundred citizens of Saki West LG positively today through empowerment programmme to alleviate poverty among the residents with twenty thousand naira each.
Hon. Omirinde disclosed that this is part of his administrative agenda to improve the economic level of the people of the local government and drive out poverty among the people he represents
At the programme he assured the residents of the Local Government that his administration is ever ready to take dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies of the local government.
He maintained that the empowerment programme was a replica of efforts of Oyo State Government under the able leadership of His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde towards eradicating poverty in our society.
In his word ” it is a special programme aimed at alleviating poverty in our community through grants to empower selected 100 people in our local government.”
He commended the efforts of Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for taking people’s welfare as the priority of his government.
The local government boss urged the beneficiaries to make use of the grant judiciously by establishing themselves with trades that will transform and lift them lift them above poverty level. He therefore enjoined yet to be benefited masses to be patient as the arrangement has been perfected to make it a continuous exercise.
Omirinde therefore enjoined the populace to reciprocate the kind gesture of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde by voting for him massively in 2023. He said giving him mandate is not the only way, but should also join him on his mission to transform the state into real Pacesetter state.
At occasion were the political Heads of Wewe and Asabari LCDA’s Hon Gbenga Akinola and Engr. Mudasiru Busari Eruobodo respectively, Hon Fasasi Quadri Amao, Leader of the House, councillors, Alh Abdulganiu Okinaran, Chief of Staff, supervisors and other political functionaries.
