In a statement made available to Korrectnews, The senator described the appointment as righteous decision and a path to new order and glory for the university.
Buhari described Okere as a father figure who stands for merit and progress in anything related to him and the University has made a rightful decision to embark on new path of prosperity and academic excellence for appointing him to be the Chancellor of the institution.
He congratulated the indigenes of Saki and Oke-Ogun for new feat of achievement brought to the region by the monarch and wish him a successful tenure in office.
